Ministries & Departments


In line with our mission to empower you to achieve your dreams and fulfill your destiny and to empower you to be a positive influence in your society, House of Praise has the following ministries and departments:

Ministries	Departments	Profile
	Dominion Bookshop	The bookstore provides easy access to Christian literature, motivational products and gift items.
Outreach Ministry	Evangelism	This department is involved in reaching out to the community through door to door evangelism and setting up food distribution centres.
Administration Ministry	Finance	Responsible for finances of the Church which includes record keeping, budget management, payroll and other and expenses.
Membership Care Ministry	Follow-Up	This department integrates, assists and involves new-comers into the Church family. Also provides follow-up for guests who have visited the Church recently, and for members who have been absent from the church for a period.
	Hospitality	This department services the refreshment needs of the church and gives support to all departments at their various events.
Audio/Visual Ministry	Media	Provides audiovisual and technical support for the church. They also cover the video recording of church services and other special events.
Children Ministry	Praise Kids	This department creates the opportunity for children to learn about God through skillful communication, mentoring, supporting and nurturing the child’s development. The teachers provide a loving, caring, safe, comfortable and healthy environment to enhance their growth and Christian maturity.
Creative Arts Ministry	Perfected Praise Voices, Drama and Dance	This department works to provide a praise worship experience by leading the congregation into the presence of God. Individuals in this department must have the heart of a worshipper, and also the skills and abilities to minister before the Lord with excellence. The drama department of the church, through acting, aims to illustrate various scenarios faced in the Christian walk. The dance department seeks to worship God through dance and lead people into high praise and worship by inspiring and encouraging creativity and liberty in worship.
Intercessory Ministry	Prayer	This department is the main intercessory arm of House of Praise. This group comes together at least twice a week and before any major program to intercede on behalf of the church for an impactful event.
Outreach Ministry	Prison Ministry	The workers of this department are mature believers who go into prisons and provide a time of teaching and ministry to those who desire to attend.
Protocol Ministry	Protocol	This department is charged with the responsibility of waiting on the Pastor and guest ministers
	Sanctuary Cleaning/Maintenance	This department assists in cleaning up and is in charge of keeping the church premises, including the sanctuary, in order.
	Traffic	The department organizes and expedites the flow of traffic. They direct vehicles and ensure that cars are well parked to allow for free-flowing entry and exit. The overall goal is to eliminate potential stress relating to parking for members and visitors attending church services.
	Transportation	This department provides transportation to and from HOP worship services for individuals and families that need it.
	Ushering	This department provides a welcoming face to all those who attend church services and programs and help find appropriate seating efficiently. They also help to maintain orderliness by ensuring minimal distractions during the services and collect the offering.
	Welcoming Team	They meet with visitors to the church at a short reception after each service where the vision of the church is shared and the various ministries and programs in the church are introduced.
